Arvind to bring Aeropostale’s apparels into India

Arvind Lifestyle Brands Ltd, a subsidiary of denim and branded apparel major, Arvind Ltd, enters into a partnership with Aeropostale Inc., New York based retailer with speciality in casual and active apparel for youth, to sell Aeropostale’s range of apparels in India. The partnership agreement covers brick and mortar retail locations as well as e-commerce.

Arvind Lifestyle Brand is expected to open 30 standalone stores and 25 shop-in-shop in next three years, the company said in a statement.

Arvind Lifestyle Brand MD and CEO J Suresh said that they are extremely pleased to bring Aeropostale to India. Aeropostale will be the first of its kind youth focused retail format in India. With 40 per cent of India’s population below the age of 20, we expect Aeropostale to be hugely popular and successful.

Aeropostale Inc CEO Julian R Geiger said that they are thrilled to bring the Aeropostale brand in India as they continue to expand their international presence aggressively. India is a truly exciting retail market, driven by its growing economy and vibrant youth culture.

Aeropostale has a global retail network presence at over 1,000 locations in USA, Canada, Middle East, Asia, Europe, Mexico and South America through licensing partnership.
