Global sustainable specialty chemicals company Archroma has partnered with Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) in Mumbai to promote innovation in green chemistry and environmentally responsible technology development.

This collaboration will focus on research and development in green chemistry, aiming to create safer chemicals and eco-friendlier industrial processes. Together, Archroma and VJTI will work on projects involving renewable energy, including biofuels and hydrogen technologies, and the development of sustainable materials such as bioplastics, advanced composites, and nanomaterials. The partnership also prioritizes advancements in water treatment, especially in wastewater recycling and resource recovery technologies.

As part of their educational outreach, the two institutions have introduced a new course titled “Sustainability: Industry Perspectives for a Greener World,” co-developed by Archroma. This course combines academic concepts with real-world industrial applications, covering critical topics such as waste management, greenhouse gas emissions measurement, and Environmental Social Governance (ESG) compliance.
