Adidas and Prada are highlighting sustainability by reimagining luxury sportswear and footwear with the Italian brand's signature recyclable Re-Nylon textile.

The Adidas for Prada Re-Nylon collection, which will be available worldwide on January 13, combines the aesthetic codes of both brands, merging Prada's craftsmanship with Adidas' sporty tradition and innovation.

The two companies initially collaborated in 2019, and the current collection comprises ready-to-wear, accessories, and luggage, as well as elevated versions of the Adidas Forum High and Low silhouettes for the first time.

The collection also symbolizes Prada's transition from virgin nylon to Re-Nylon, which will be completed by the end of 2021. Because each piece was manufactured in Italy by Prada utilizing a ground-breaking cloth made from recycled plastic trash from the oceans and textile fiber waste.

Prada has used the Re-Nylon cloth to modify the Adidas Originals Forum silhouette in both high and low versions for the latest collaboration. With the addition of removable Prada mini-pouch attachments showcasing the brand's characteristic enamelled metal triangle, the Italian company has "playfully reimagined" the sneaker's functional and visual identity.

The sneakers feature luxurious leather Three Stripes detailing and forefoot overlays, showing Prada's leather-working prowess, and are described by Adidas as "simultaneously elegant and subversive."

The Adidas for Prada Re-Nylon Forum High and Low sneakers will be offered in monochromatic black and white colorways, and will come packaged in premium boxes with dust bags featuring each brand's emblem.

Prada reworks trademark items with Adidas branding in the ready-to-wear and accessories collection, including a track coat, sweater, hooded jacket, and bucket hat, all reinterpreted in Re-Nylon cloth. Each piece comes in two color combinations – black with white stripes and white with black stripes – and is embellished with Prada's enamelled triangular logo.

Six bags are included in the collection, which attempt to mirror Prada's design language while uniting the DNA of both businesses. Three larger bags, a travel bag, backpack, and shopping bag, as well as three smaller types, a bandoleer, a BP sweatshirt, and a belt bag, are on display. Each has Prada's metallic triangle logo and Adidas' distinctive Three-Stripes design.

From January 13, the Adidas for Prada Re-Nylon collection will be available worldwide at Prada boutiques and on Prada and Adidas websites, and will be accompanied by a unique digital activity in which fans will be asked to join Adidas and Prada in the metaverse through open-source co-creation.

Limited-edition Adidas Originals Superstar sneakers in white with black Prada emblems were released alongside a matching bowling bag in the first Adidas and Prada collaboration. Another Superstar sneaker type was next released, this time in a trio of new colorways: monochrome black, white with black, and chrome silver with white.
