Accelerating Circularity to improve T2T recycling collaboration

YarnsandFibers News Bureau 2026-05-07 13:48:20 – USA

Accelerating Circularity has introduced Textile-to-Textile Circularity Foundations, an in-person workshop designed to improve coordination and practical implementation in textile-to-textile recycling systems. The programme focuses on addressing major challenges related to textile circularity. It is aimed at professionals working in sourcing, design, sustainability, and supply chain operations.

The initiative was created in response to increasing industry demand for practical guidance on implementing circularity, rather than only setting sustainability goals. According to Accelerating Circularity, many organisations struggle to move from planning to actual execution because different teams often interpret textile circularity in different ways. This lack of alignment can lead to inconsistent decision-making and slower progress.

The workshop is designed to create better collaboration between design, sourcing, and supply chain teams by providing a shared understanding of how textile-to-textile systems currently operate. It uses real operational knowledge from previous industry partnerships to support more practical and informed decision-making.

Sarah Coulter, Americas Programme Director at Accelerating Circularity, explained that teams across the textile industry often have different interpretations of circularity, which slows progress. She added that scaling textile-to-textile recycling systems requires shared understanding and coordinated action across departments, and the workshop has been designed to provide that clarity and alignment.
