Denim manufacturer DNM Denim is introducing advanced finishing techniques and alternative fibre blends in its Spring/Summer 2028 collection, with a focus on reducing water and energy consumption while preserving authentic denim aesthetics. The Istanbul-based company is developing zero-water finishing applications to create marble-like effects without the water waste associated with conventional processes.
It is also introducing Giza cotton blends with linen and hemp to achieve vintage-inspired appearances and a soft hand feel. According to the company, water recycling, wastewater recovery and the use of solar energy and natural gas have been integral to its manufacturing approach since its establishment.
The collection also features fabrics made with TENCEL Lyocell HV100, which uses controlled fibre variations to replicate the irregularities of natural staple fibres. DNM says the material combines softness with a premium appearance and a balance of fluid drape and heritage-inspired character.
The mill is further expanding its development work with INVISTA and incorporating Creora Regen Bio Spandex into a Denim Deal capsule collection. The spandex uses sugarcane-based feedstock and is paired with more than 20% post-consumer recycled cotton, supporting efforts to increase circularity in denim.
Colour and texture are central to DNM’s seasonal direction, with earthy tones, greenish-cast treatments and specialised washes shaping the collection. The Matcha and Matsblue shades add depth to traditional denim palettes, while the new Sand Blue colour uses pre-coloured fabric constructions to create a brown-tinted, vintage-washed effect without conventional post-garment tinting or garment dyeing.
