JEPLAN, Inc. and Syre have announced a strategic partnership to advance textile-to-textile recycling technologies. Through this collaboration, both companies aim to speed up the development and commercialization of next-generation polyester recycling solutions for the textile industry.
As part of the agreement, the two companies will work together to develop and improve solutions that can enable large-scale textile-to-textile recycling. This effort is expected to support Syre’s goal of reaching full commercialisation faster, including producing multi-ton quantities of recycled polyester by late 2026 for testing and product development with brands.
Dennis Nobelius, CEO of Syre, said the partnership focuses on achieving both speed and scale without reducing quality. He added that JEPLAN’s experience of over a decade will help accelerate the journey toward commercial production.
Masaki Takao, CEO of JEPLAN, shared that the company is pleased to collaborate with Syre to bring textile recycling to a larger scale. He highlighted that Syre’s global reach and ambition, combined with JEPLAN’s expertise, create strong potential for innovation in the textile sector.
