lululemon has unveiled ShowZero, a new sweat-concealing fabric technology engineered for high-sweat performance activities. The innovation is designed to manage higher volumes of perspiration while maintaining breathability, moisture control and a lightweight feel suited to demanding sports such as tennis.
ShowZero was developed in collaboration with US tennis player and lululemon ambassador Frances Tiafoe and will debut in his custom kit at the BNP Paribas Open. The kit appears in a Burgundy Bay colourway and features a vertical stripe design on the shorts.
ShowZero works by altering how light interacts with the fabric. Traditional materials tend to absorb light differently when wet, making sweat marks visible. This technology reduces light absorption when moisture is present, helping perspiration remain visually undetectable.
Yuki Aihara, senior director of product innovation at lululemon, said ambassador collaboration plays a central role in the company’s innovation process. In Tiafoe’s case, the goal was to create a tennis kit that supports confidence and focus during intense matches by combining advanced sweat-concealment with the brand’s comfort-led design approach.
