Primark has launched a new denim range created in line with its circular design principles, offering affordable denim made using post-consumer waste materials to its customers. The collection includes five pieces for both women and men. Each garment has been thoughtfully designed to last longer and to make recycling at the end of its life easier.
To support this goal, the designs avoid stretch fabrics, limit the use of unnecessary metal parts such as rivets, and use recyclable trims made mainly from a single material. Every product in the collection contains at least 20 percent recycled denim. The remaining material is sourced from the Primark Cotton Project, a training programme that supports cotton farmers within the company’s supply chain and promotes better farming practices.
This new denim range is part of Primark’s broader effort to increase circular practices across its business. The company aims to keep products and materials in use for a longer time while reducing waste. As part of this commitment, Primark also runs its “Love it for Longer” repair workshops throughout the year. These free sessions, available in selected stores, help customers learn simple repair and sewing skills to extend the life of their clothing.
