Oroblu, the Italian brand globally known for its high-quality women’s tights, has announced a collaboration with The LYCRA Company to launch its new line of bio-derived sneakers tights. These tights are made using LYCRA EcoMade Fiber, an elastomer derived from corn grown mainly for industrial use, setting a new standard for low-impact hosiery and marking a key step toward a more sustainable fashion industry.
This is an eco-friendly material that maintains elasticity, comfort and durability at the level expected from Oroblu, while lowering the textile industry’s carbon footprint with a composition made from 70 percent renewable materials.
“Working closely with partners like CSP International and their Oroblu brand allows us to maximize the supply chain and bring innovations such as the bio-derived LYCRA EcoMade fiber to market quickly. This achievement brings together environmental responsibility and performance while preserving the comfort, movement and quality customers expect from Oroblu and LYCRA fiber,” said Alistair Williamson, VP EMEA & South Asia.
Extensive testing of the LYCRA EcoMade yarn has led to the development of the next generation of Bio-Derived Sneakers Tights, premium tights designed for comfort, featuring a reinforced knit in the shoe area for improved durability and a better fit.
