BOKSER Textiles, a leading supplier of high-performance hospitality linens, has introduced the Vermilion Sheeting Collection, a sustainable bedding line designed to address carbon emissions and microplastic fiber pollution in the hospitality industry. The collection blends 52% Polyester infused with CiCLO® technology and 48% Modal, offering hotels an eco-friendly solution without compromising comfort or durability.
Produced in CarbonNeutral-certified facilities, the collection’s manufacturing process prevents approximately 528 tons of carbon emissions for every one million sheets made. Additionally, nearly 1.9 million gallons of water are saved through a zero liquid discharge system that prevents industrial wastewater from polluting natural ecosystems.
Vermilion’s polyester fibers utilize CiCLO technology, which enhances the biodegradability of synthetic fibers, enabling them to decompose at rates similar to natural fibers such as wool. This innovation helps prevent synthetic fibers from persisting in the environment for centuries.
“This launch serves as a blueprint for the hospitality industry,” said Ed Guzek, CEO of BOKSER. “With CiCLO technology and our carbon-neutral facilities, hotels can now meet their carbon and plastic reduction goals while maintaining the quality and durability their guests expect.”
Cheryl Smyre, Vice President of Parkdale Advanced Materials, added, “Our partnership with BOKSER brings CiCLO technology’s innovation to a broader scale. By integrating responsible manufacturing with CiCLO technology, we’re enabling hotels to make a more meaningful environmental impact across the industry.”
