Chattogram BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (CBUFT) has reached a significant milestone by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wuhan Textile University (WTU), China. The agreement aims to strengthen academic collaboration, research, and innovation in textile and fashion studies.

According to CBUFT, the partnership will open up a wide range of opportunities for both students and faculty members. Key areas of focus include joint research projects, student exchange programs, and the development of collaborative academic courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels.

The agreement also includes scholarship programs, faculty training and exchange initiatives, sharing of academic and scientific resources, and joint organization of international conferences and symposiums. Both universities plan to establish shared scientific laboratories to promote innovation in smart manufacturing, textile technology, and sustainable fashion.

This collaboration marks an important step toward enhancing knowledge exchange, research capacity, and global visibility for both institutions. It also reflects the growing cooperation between academia and the textile industry in Bangladesh and China to nurture future-ready talent and advance sustainability-driven education.
