To make powerloom owners and workers aware of Union ministry of textiles’ PowerTex schemes, a seminar was organized by textile commissioner’s regional office at Surana Palace on Friday.

Power minister Paras Jain was the chief guest and MLA Mohan Yadav special guest. Guests urged beneficiaries to reap utmost advantage of schemes to develop their business.

Key speakers at the seminar included textile committee Indore’s assistant director CS Singh and officer in-charge Pranav Parashar.

Singh gave a detailed information about various programme launched under schemes like Amended Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme (ATUFS), ISDS, SITP, group work shed scheme, In-situ upgradation of plain powerlooms, exposure visit scheme, prime minister credit card scheme, solar power scheme and others.

While, Pranav Parashar informed participants about In-situ upgradation of Plain powerlooms for Ujjain cluster, common facility centre and schemes about yarn banks and about financial aid being provided to powerloom owners by the government.
