“Kachh gh” work (also known as ‘Kutchhi gh ’ or ‘Kachhgh’) is one of the easily identifiable styles of fabric work coming from Gujarat and a well patronised handicraft textile in India. The “Kachh gh” is a handicraft and textile signature art tradition of the tribal community of Kutch District in Gujarat, India. History of the “Kachh gh” is traced to the 16th and 17th centuries when people migrated from the countries such as Afghanistan, Greece, Germany, Iran and Iraq to Gujarat.
