The 28th Asia Fashion Fair (AFF) - NAGOYA 2016 is one of the biggest and the most professional Clothing & Textile OEM-ODM fair a variety of products, such as ready-made garments, accessories, home textiles, fabrics and auxiliary materials in Japan to be hosted by AFF Co., Ltd. and Japan-China Economic Relations and Trade Center, and implemented by the AFF Organizing Committee.

Started in 2003, it has been held three times a year. Every year there are more than 10,000 buyers visiting AFF, makes it a "must-go" business party in Japan's textile and clothes industry.

Acrylonitrile price moves up on rising demand in Asia

Asian acrylonitrile marker, the CFR Far East Asia and Southeast Asia were up US$15 a ton in the third week of March.

In China, sporadic offers for offshore cargoes were down US$10 a ton on the week, but buyers were mainly on the sideline.

Acrylonitrile prices in Asian markets rose as demand picked up for spring and looming peak demand season for fertilizer. In China, acrylonitrile spot market was quiet given subdued demand and low domestic value while buying interest remained cautious on less positive market outlook.

Asian ASF markets remain range bound

In China, medium-length staple fiber prices edged up on the lower range in the third week of March and fell at the upper end to US$1.84-1.97 a kg while cotton-type staple was at US$1.85-1.97 a kg.

Taiwan origin 3D bright ASF tow prices rolled over at US$1.58-1.65 a kg while offers for regular products were at US$1.50-1.55 a kg.

Anqing Petrochemical and Qilu Petrochemical nominated 1.5D cotton-type fiber at 12.45 Yuan a kg (US$1.93 a kg) and 12.05 Yuan a kg (US$1.86 a kg) respectively.

Prices at cotton market remain stable on fresh buying interest

With spinners and mills showing fresh buying interest of lint cotton helped to keep the rates stable in the cotton market while the official spot rate also remained unchanged at Rs 5,300, dealers said.

In Sindh, seed cotton prices were at Rs 2200-2400, and in Punjab prices were at Rs 2400 and Rs 2900.

In the ready business, nearly 5000 bales finalized between Rs 4600-5500.

Textile traders opposing to the Delhi government's tax proposal for the textile industry as the uniform rate of 5% on all varieties of textiles and fabrics except khadi and handloom would hit business.

Traders also pointed out that other manufacturing hubs like Surat, Mumbai, Malegaon, Erode, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Amritsar and Ludhiana levy no blanket VAT on textiles and fabrics.

The Textile Association (India) member J B Soma, said that traders would write to the government to junk the hike.
