DaFon International in Taiwan has created a range of moisture-wicking, quick-drying, breathable knits combining CoolVisions filament with polyester, picked up by local performance brand Santo for its Win-Fit collection.

According to the manufacturer, sanitized is an antimicrobial finish that protects the fabric against bacterial growth and odours, making it ideal for healthcare professionals and those working in medical environments, as well as hospitality, retail and food processing industries.

The estimated cash investment by the joint venture for the construction of the DWP mill is expected to be around above US$ 1 billion. Exports declined 16.3% during the timeframe even though yarn production increased 3.5% between 2013-14 and 2017-18. The share of exports in total yarn production has come down to 27% in 2017-18 from 33% in 2013-14.

India’s share has dropped to around 26% in 2017 from 30% in 2015 inspite of remaining the largest exporter of cotton yarn in the world.
