Wiser Wash
Wox, Wisher Tech’s first foray into hardware, is the company’s next move into artificial intelligence-powered devices. Wox is based on the Wiser Wash technique, which has been endorsed by Adriano Goldschmied, the “godfather of denim,” for its ability to wash fabrics without the use of chemicals or stones and with just a limited amount of water.
According to the brand, a pair of jeans cleaned using conventional processes consumes about 60 liters of water, which is nearly halved by using Wiser Wash—and the company hopes to increase these savings to 92%.
Working with advanced technologies, Wiser Tech improves the process by providing a 40% shorter cycle time and a 66% higher processing capacity, all while improving bleaching performance.
Wox, which consists of an ozone drum and an ozone generator, is even more than it appears. The device gathers data on the production process and feeds it to artificial intelligence algorithms through a secured cloud-based platform. Sensors positioned in the device will detect potential anomalies at all stages during the operation, allowing it to recognize and determine its own requirements.
A user-friendly control panel, ergonomic drum, readily accessible filter drawer, and an LED progress ring with color-coded stages of the operation are all included. The amount of oxygen consumed during the operation can also be adjusted by the operator.
According to Wiser Tech founder, Fuat Gozacan, the product’s high-tech capabilities are only the beginning of denim’s technological future.
He said their new Wox process, which they built for stable and controllable production, is the first result of a design that will radically transform denim finishing practices. With this method, they want to introduce a new approach to the denim production industry.
This marks the beginning of a transition in the industry toward more friendly washing practices. Elleti Group, a laundry, and clothing maker announced a new alliance with Wiser Wash last year, demonstrating its contribution to sustainability. Their Jecostone System, developed by the Italian abrasives company Itexa Group, consists of an abrasive multi-fiber carpet that covers the entire drum of an industrial washing machine, as well as an abrasive pad that functions freely inside the machine in the same way as pumice stones do.
