Waterwipes has introduced 100% biodegradable and plastic-free wipes

WaterWipes®, the world’s purest baby wipes, has introduced new 100% biodegradable and plastic-free wipes, making it the first major U.S. baby company to make all of its wipes 100 percent biodegradable, plant-based, plastic-free, and compostable. WaterWipes® baby wipes are even made entirely with renewable energy (wind). WaterWipes® will save the equivalent of 228 million plastic bottles and 3.28 Olympic-sized swimming pools of water each year as a result of this change, which has also been rolled out globally and will, most importantly, be a part of the movement to help reduce the amount of waste filling our landfills.

Lindsay Martin, Vice President, WaterWipes North America, said that WaterWipes has become more environmentally sensitive as the globe has become more environmentally conscious. They’re excited to offer a product that is healthier for the world without compromising the quality of their wipes with the debut of biodegradable and plastic-free wipes in the United States. WaterWipes’ dedication to sustainability has taken another step ahead with the debut of this product.

WaterWipes® baby wipes will continue to include only two ingredients: 99.9% pure water and a trace of fruit extract. With the new introduction, parents and healthcare providers no longer have to choose between washing and protecting their baby’s skin and choosing the environmentally friendly alternative.

Every year, billions of baby wipes are used in the United States; picture the impact WaterWipes® could have if every American switched to biodegradable wipes, reducing total environmental impact one tiny step at a time. Furthermore, baby wipes are frequently created with or from plastic materials such as PET, polypropylene, or cotton woven together with plastic resin, and each year, 8 million metric tonnes of plastic garbage enters the ocean. WaterWipes® biodegradable and plastic-free wipes are USDA Certified Biobased and manufactured of viscose. They are 100 percent compostable and biodegrade in about four weeks. Viscose, like cotton and linen, is highly absorbent, soft, and robust for excellent washing while remaining gentle on even the most delicate skin. When converting to biodegradable and plastic-free wipes, there are a few things to consider.

The new biodegradable and plastic-free wipes, like all WaterWipes® formulations, have undergone extensive testing, including product quality, safety, biodegradability, and compostability testing, to ensure only the highest grade of the product.

WaterWipes® is available at all major retailers in the United States, including Target, Walmart, and Amazon.
