VEOCEL revolutionizes personal care in Asia-Pacific with carbon-neutral fibers

Lenzing Group’s flagship brand, VEOCEL™, has achieved significant milestones in collaborations with top beauty and feminine care brands in the Asia-Pacific region. Notable partners include Taiwanese skincare brand BRIDGE 24/7, Korean feminine care brand Yejimiin, and a global healthcare and beauty retailer. Together, they are launching responsible personal care products crafted from carbon-neutral VEOCEL™ Lyocell fibers. This reflects VEOCEL™’s commitment to shifting the industry towards eco-friendly raw materials and reducing the overall carbon footprint in nonwoven production.

One key partnership is with Yejimiin, introducing feminine care top sheets made from carbon-neutral VEOCEL™ Lyocell fibers in response to the increasing demand for socially responsible choices among Korean consumers. This initiative aims to inspire consumers to opt for planet-friendly alternatives and contribute to environmental protection.

Steven Tsai, Senior Regional Commercial Director for Nonwovens Asia at Lenzing, expressed pride in working with leading personal care brands. The partnerships with BRIDGE 24/7, Yejimiin, and healthcare and beauty retailers not only demonstrate a commitment to helping partners achieve their carbon emission goals but also emphasize VEOCEL™ fibers as trusted ingredients supporting sustainable personal care product evolution.

VEOCEL™ has further expanded its co-branding efforts, collaborating with Taiwanese skincare brand BRIDGE 24/7 to introduce Taiwan’s first facial sheet mask using carbon-neutral VEOCEL™ fibers. Wallace Liu, CEO of BRIDGE 24/7, highlighted the importance of sustainability in everyday products, expressing the belief that the demand for environmentally friendly personal care items will continue to grow.

In 2024, VEOCEL™ maintains its focus on advancing solutions to reduce carbon emissions in the nonwoven industry. The brand’s dedication as a ‘responsible care brand’ includes ongoing efforts to minimize the environmental and climate impact of its fibers. VEOCEL™ offers carbon-neutral Lyocell fibers produced with reduced carbon emissions, offsetting unabated emissions by supporting climate projects like reforestation through the ClimatePartner portfolio. This approach contributes meaningfully to global climate action as part of the journey towards a net-zero industry value chain.
