Valdese Weavers, Recover partner to pioneer sustainable home textiles

Valdese Weavers, the leading producer of decorative textiles in the United States for homes and businesses, has teamed up with global recycled cotton fiber producer, Recover™, to revolutionize the home textile industry. These two innovative textile leaders, each handling different parts of the supply chain, aim to leverage their combined expertise to promote the use of sustainable materials in the industry.

Recognizing the importance of responsible raw materials, Valdese Weavers offers a collection of environmentally conscious products. Through the partnership with RecoverTM, they plan to provide top-quality decorative fabrics made with RCS/GRS verified Recover™ recycled fiber, helping brands and retailers reduce their environmental impact from using new raw materials.

Blake Millinor, President and CEO of Valdese Weavers, expressed pride in partnering with Recover as a natural fiber platform for customers seeking sustainable fabrics. He highlighted how Recover complements their existing sustainable product offerings, creating a more circular material solution.

Alfredo Ferre, CEO at Recover™, emphasized the need for new solutions and collaborations in the textile industry’s supply chain. He expressed excitement about teaming up with Valdese Weavers to expand their product to the upholstery and home textile segment. Recover’s expertise in producing low-impact, high-quality recycled fibers aligns with their shared goals of minimizing the impact on natural resources.

The first fabrics resulting from the partnership, made with RecoverTM fiber, will be showcased at Valdese Weaver’s showroom in High Point, NC during the Interwoven market from November 14-16, 2023.
