Trident get STeP certification for Made in Green towels, bedding

Trident Limited (Trident) the flagship company of TridentGroup, a USD 1 billion Indian business conglomerate and a global player has received the Sustainable Textile Production (STeP) certification for both its home textiles plants located at Dhaula, Punjab & Budhni, Madhya Pradesh.
The certification covers the weaving, dyeing & making up processes for Trident’s terry towelling and bed linen manufacturing facilities.

This certification also brings the Made in Green by Oeko-Tex label to Trident, which is issued for textile products that have been tested against harmful substances and certified according to Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex. The certification also validates that the products originate from sustainable, socially responsible production facilities following the requirements of the STeP certification.

The label will offer consumers transparency as well. Each label will carry a unique product ID and optional QR code consumers can be used to trace the production of the product, while learning about textile sustainability and safety.

PK Markanday, CEO – home textiles of Trident Limited said that Trident prides itself on playing an integral part in protecting and preserving the environment. The significant achievement of the Made in Green by Oeko-Tex label serves to embrace their core business values.
