TechnoSport to join bluesign® system partnership

TechnoSport, a leading sportswear company based in Tiruppur, India, has joined the bluesign® system partnership services, becoming the first brand in India to do so. The brand offers a wide range of products, including men’s T-shirts, gym vests, jackets, women’s tights and pants, children’s shorts, and tracksuits. Besides ensuring functionality, Techno Sport provides an extensive selection of colors and styles across different product categories.

Sunil Jhunjhunwala, Managing Director of Techno Sportswear India Pvt. Ltd, expressed excitement about the partnership with bluesign®. He mentioned that being part of bluesign®’s system partnership makes Techno Sport the first brand in India to do so, joining 150 other global brands already in the network.

Daniel Rufenacht, CEO of Bluesign Technologies AG, commended Techno Sport for their decision to prioritize sustainability. He emphasized India’s potential to transition from a price-sensitive market to a reputable and responsible player in sustainable textile production.

Katharina V. Mayer, Regional Director CRM, Indian Sub-Continent, highlighted bluesign®’s holistic approach to sustainable production, focusing on on-site assessments, input stream management, and active chemical change management in collaboration with companies. She expressed delight in having Techno Sport as a bluesign® system partner and welcomed them as role models for other local brands.

In addition to its existing initiatives, bluesign® introduced a new service called IMPACT services tailored for the Indian markets, further demonstrating its commitment to providing sustainable solutions to the global textile supply chain.
