SFI, The Lycra Company launch FitSense denim technology

Star Fades International (SFI), a recognized name in denim innovation, has partnered with The Lycra Company, a global leader in fibre and fabric solutions, to introduce the new Lycra FitSense denim technology. This cutting-edge shaping solution aims to improve fit and comfort and will be produced at SFI’s Los Angeles facility and Artistic Milliners’ newly launched plant in Mexico.

The patented Lycra FitSense denim technology is a major step forward in denim design. It offers targeted support and shaping in important areas of the garment while still allowing full movement and excellent comfort. This results in denim that not only looks great but also adapts to the body for a personalized and enjoyable wearing experience.

“We’re excited to work with The Lycra Company to bring Lycra FitSense denim to the Western Hemisphere,” said Murtaza Ahmed, co-founder of SFI and director at Artistic Milliners. “This partnership brings together our deep knowledge of denim production with Lycra’s advanced fibre innovations. By starting production locally, we can offer our brand partners quicker turnaround times and more flexibility.”

Geoffrey Hietpas, Vice President of Apparel in the Americas at The Lycra Company, added, “Working with SFI and AM Mexico allows us to combine our strengths to meet the growing demand for denim that delivers both style and comfort. Expanding production to the Western Hemisphere supports regional manufacturing and helps our brand partners strengthen their supply chains.”
