Säntis spots report growth in recycled fiber market

Swiss fabric manufacturer, Säntis Textiles, has reported another successful year for its 100% recycled cotton RCO100, with more than 100,000 tonnes of pre-and post-consumer cotton waste recycled in 2021.

The figures from the company indicate that there has been a significant increase in demand for circular fabric solutions from brands, global retail markets, and consumers in a variety of industries.

Annabelle Hutter, Creative Director at Säntis Textiles, said that their figures show that the demand for textile sustainability and circularity is higher than ever before.

100 percent recycled cotton variants are offered in the form of single jersey, nonwoven, and woven forms which include chino, denim, shirting, and knit fabrics. The fibers are made utilizing specialist technology and an original spinning technique that produces fine fibers and yarns without breaking without the use of any mixes, regenerated fibers, or chemical treatments.

The company’s recent rapid growth in figures has allowed it to invest more in the research and development of new 100% recycled cotton varieties, including its finest single jersey Ne20 and Ne30 yarns, which are both commercially accessible.
