SanMar introduces a line of carbon-neutral apparel

SanMar Corporation, a leading supplier of wholesale accessories and apparel, has announced a new collection Port Authority® C-FREE™, an innovative range of carbon-neutral styles.

The announcement, which represents a new partnership with the Carbonfund.org Foundation, is the company’s most recent step in implementing its commitment to environmental sustainability.

In each of its new product launches, SanMar’s mission and principles have inspired its unique fashion products. SanMar is committed to making investments that improve its sustainability throughout the process, from design and development through sourcing and manufacturing.

Pat Noonan, chief product officer at SanMar, said that “this C-FREE announcement is driven by SanMar’s aim to generate positive change. This launch, in collaboration with Carbonfund.org, brings together SanMar’s commitment to industry sustainability and our ideals of doing good in their communities.

SanMar uses C-FREE to create styles that can be tracked using Carbonfree® Certification. SanMar’s Carbonfree® Certification assesses a product’s carbon footprint and purchases carbon offsets to eliminate an equivalent number of emissions from the environment. SanMar’s first exclusive C-FREE designs, made from recycled polyester, are snag-proof and moisture-wicking for all-around performance.
