Touker Suleyman, the owner of Ghost and Finery, and Tom Singh, the founder of New Look, have invested in Loop Generation, a designer resale start-up.
The two fashion entrepreneurs have invested an unknown amount in the London-based circular-economy firm, which sells pre-loved, high-end clothing for women, men, accessories, and footwear.
Loop Generation, established by Ewa Kozieja and Piotr Krzymowski, began as an online marketplace in 2019 and this week opened its first physical location at 295 Brompton Road in Chelsea, London.
Chanel, Balmain, Saint Laurent, Gucci, Fendi, Hermès, Dolce & Gabbana, and Prada are among the designer labels represented, as are unused cosmetic products from 111 Skin, La Mer, and Jo Malone.
Tom Singh said that he is looking to watch Loop Generation expand and flourish as a leading marketplace for pre-loved luxury apparel. He is inspired by co-founders Ewa and Piotr and what they have accomplished so far within the resale scene.
The investment “comes at a moment of great upheaval throughout the fashion landscape,” according to Loop Generation, and as a verified luxury resale platform that allows clients to purchase and sell premium things, it can help minimize clothing waste. The company also sends each item to its clients in totally biodegradable packaging.
Suleyman added that he is thrilled to be working with Loop Generation and supporting their commitment to circular fashion, and is thrilled to see the brand’s e-commerce platform come to life within the new Chelsea store.
Loop Generation charges a flat commission on apparel, shoes, handbags, and accessories, and a 23% commission on beauty items.
