Reflaunt and DHL Supply Chain partner to enhance fashion resale

Singapore-based resale marketplace Reflaunt and DHL Supply Chain have formed a strategic partnership to elevate the fashion resale industry. A significant challenge in the resale sector is achieving large-scale global operations due to inconsistent infrastructure and high acquisition and digitization costs. This partnership aims to tackle these obstacles by combining scalability, infrastructure improvement, and cost efficiency.

Reflaunt plays a vital role for brands and retailers by providing global operations and resale infrastructure, facilitating the return of customers’ luxury clothing. Their process involves inspecting and valuing each item, facilitating resale, and rewarding customer loyalty with shopping credits. By engaging various stakeholders across the value chain, Reflaunt has built a network reaching over 250 million second-hand shoppers worldwide.

Stephanie Crespin, Founder & CEO of Reflaunt, expresses excitement for the partnership with DHL, highlighting the potential for creating a circular supply chain. Reflaunt brings expertise in end-to-end solutions like fulfillment, returns management, resale operations, and recycling, with DHL as a valuable partner.

Currently, an estimated £1.65 trillion worth of fashion items remain unused in customers’ closets. Acquiring, processing, and selling this inventory poses a significant challenge for fashion brands and resale platforms. Reflaunt’s reach extends to over 30 platforms, including well-known names like Poshmark, Vestiaire Collective, Rebelle, eBay, Level Shoes, Yoox, and Saks OFF 5th.

In this collaboration, DHL Supply Chain manages the entire logistics process, from handling items received from customers to inspections, grading, photography, digital data entry into Reflaunt’s platform, and core logistics functions like inventory management, storage, order processing, and distribution.
