Recover™ wins Green Product Award 2022 in the Category Fashion

Recover™, a leading materials science company and global producer of low-impact, high-quality recycled cotton fiber and cotton fiber blends, has received the Green Product Award 2022 in the Fashion category. The firm was honored for its creative, ecologically friendly goods, which are developed in collaboration with the supply chain, providing large brands and retailers with an end-to-end sustainable solution.

The worldwide Green Product Award has recognized exceptional goods, services, and concepts for their superb design, creativity, and sustainability since 2013. A worldwide panel of seasoned professionals chose Recover™ as the winner in Fashion from over 1500 applicants from 52 countries, owing to its sustainable and cost-effective plug-and-play solution.

The jury said that fashion manufacturing is a major source of carbon emissions worldwide, yet the lifespan of a garment is growing increasingly short. Through the circular economy approach, Recover™ has discovered a solution to both difficulties.

Recover™ is an innovative textile manufacturer that has been at the forefront of sustainable materials and recycling since 1947. The firm recycles post-industrial, pre-consumer, and post-consumer cotton waste, eliminating the requirement for cotton cultivation, drastically lowering water loss, restricting dye consumption with their RColorBlend technology, and minimizing textile landfill trash. Recover™ also assists businesses and retailers in meeting their climate targets and making a substantial positive environmental effect by incorporating their cotton into the supply chain.

Helene Smits, Chief Sustainability Officer at Recover™, said that as dedicated agents of change within the industry, they’re thrilled to be picked as winners at the Green Product Awards. They hope to bring sustainable fashion closer to the consumer and accomplish circular fashion for everybody by scaling up manufacturing of their recycled fibers globally.
