PRGMEA joins ATTI to accelerate industry decarbonization

Pakistan’s leading garment industry association, the Pakistan Readymade Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA), has joined the Apparel & Textile Transformation Initiative (ATTI), strengthening global efforts to reduce the environmental impact of the textile and apparel industry through practical and scalable decarbonization strategies.

As part of the partnership, ATTI will provide technical support throughout the implementation process. This includes conducting a needs assessment, developing collaborative solutions with industry stakeholders, and preparing a customized roadmap that addresses the specific requirements of Pakistan’s textile and garment industry.

PRGMEA has committed to supporting the initiative by providing institutional resources, staff, and active participation from its member companies. The association will work closely with ATTI to encourage industry engagement and ensure the successful implementation of sustainability initiatives across the sector.

ATTI stated that the partnership will help create a more coordinated approach to decarbonization by enabling manufacturers to share knowledge, adopt practical climate solutions, and address common sustainability challenges across the apparel value chain.
