Porcher Industries unveils multilayer hybrid textiles

Porcher Industries, a global specialist in high-performance thermoplastic composites and technical textiles, has introduced a new range of multilayer hybrid textiles. The innovation is designed for use in sectors including sports, leisure, automotive, and medical applications.

Developed specifically for in-situ consolidation processes, the new material addresses several technical challenges by overcoming the limits of conventional thermoplastic prepreg fabrics. The hybrid textile structure offers excellent deformability and drape along with built-in shape-memory properties.

The textile is compatible with a wide range of in-situ consolidation methods, from vacuum moulding to advanced heating and cooling systems. With suitable equipment, manufacturers can produce high-quality composite parts in under 10 minutes. This development makes thermoplastic composites more accessible and opens new opportunities across multiple industries.
