PDEXCIL (Power loom Development and Export Promotion Council) has decided to have its state-of-art Design Studio in the Trade Complex, Texvalley also the regional office of PDEXCIL will be shifted to Texvalley in two months time, assuring traders of full-fledged support for export of their products, with this Texvalley has received a further drive in its journey towards transforming into an international destination for textile business.
S. Duraisamy, PDEXCIL Chairman, made the announcement while presiding over a function to hand over keys for wholesalers who had leased showrooms in the daily textile market. The keys were handed over to 225 wholesale dealers and textile entrepreneurs by the Texvalley Chairman A. Periyasamy, Vice-Chairman C. Devarajan and Managing Director D.P. Kumar.
Mr. Duraisamy said that the broad business linkage made possible through Texvalley will stand traders in good stead to face global competition, especially from Bangladesh and Pakistan, and also thanked the State Government for increasing extent of free power supply to power loom industries from 500 to 750 units.
At Texvalley, the daily market will take stake-holders to higher level and the textile products to the world markets. Pointing to the healthy ecosystem for growth in place in the forms of banks, transport and warehousing facilities on the 20-acre complex, Texvalley’s focus, henceforth, will shift to business promotion from infrastructure establishment, Mr. Devarajan said.
Senior officials of Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Bank of Baroda and Syndicate Bank, the financial partners of Texvalley, offered support to the traders for their business expansion.
