Paptic introduces sustainable packaging for feminine care

Paptic, a rapidly growing company that produces wood fiber-based packaging materials, is entering the hygiene and feminine care packaging market with an innovative material aimed at addressing the rising demand for eco-friendly alternatives to plastic. This new material is fully recyclable alongside paper and cardboard, providing a soft and comfortable user experience.

“We have created a material that not only boosts sustainability but also improves functionality,” says Alexandros Skouras, Paptic’s hygiene segment director. “Our solution smoothly replaces conventional plastics with a renewable and recyclable option. It’s ideal for personal care products, where comfort is a top priority.”

Produced from renewable wood fibers, Paptic is entirely recyclable and fits into a circular economy model. It can be processed using current plastic converting equipment, making it easy for manufacturers to adopt. This lightweight, heat-sealable material is also FSC certified, reflecting Paptic’s dedication to sustainability and ethical sourcing.

“Our research and development is centered on creating recyclable wood fiber-based materials that help customers cut back on plastic usage while maximizing resource efficiency and promoting circularity,” Skouras explains. “We aim to keep materials in use for as many life cycles as possible.” He adds that in Europe, over 84% of fiber-based packaging is already being collected and reused as raw material for new fiber-based products.
