Pangaia x Vandy The Pink
London-based innovation-led brand, Pangaia, has announced a collaboration with South Korean-born, Virginia-based designer, Vandy The Pink, with the release of a limited-edition, eco-friendly capsule aimed to raise awareness about the importance of protecting trees.
The capsule comprises three pieces: a hoodie, trackpant, and t-shirt, all of which are inspired by Vandy’s witty design approach as well as Pangaia’s material philosophy, which is based on high-tech naturalism.
All the items had quotes written on them which replace Pangaia’s signature textblocks, “Trees act as the lungs of our planet. We must plant, protect and restore them. Nurture, embrace and bloom together with the earth.”
In a release, Vandy said on the collection that when Pangaia and Nordstrom asked them to work on this project, they were excited from the outset to get this project underway. They were inspired by Pangaia’s messaging and sustainable technology, so incorporating their brand values and art into this unique collection to commemorate Earth Day was significant and memorable for them.
In addition to the launch, Nordstrom and Pangaia have announced that they would donate to Direct Relief, a non-profit that offers medical assistance to Ukraine and surrounding countries.
