Australian textile innovator Nanollose has received a patent in India for its groundbreaking technology that ferments organic waste from the food and beverage industries to create microbial cellulose, which can be spun into fibers. The patent, specifically for the Nullarbor lyocell fiber technology process, is the result of a joint application between Nanollose and Grasim Industries. Grasim Industries is part of the Aditya Birla Group, one of the world’s leading producers of man-made cellulosic fibers.
