Nandan Denim Ltd, Gujarat based firm is set to become Asia’s biggest denim fabric maker this year on completing its Rs 621-crore capacity expansion programme. At present, Nandan’s capacity is 99 million meter per annum (MMPA), putting it at the second spot behind Arvind Ltd, whose capacity is 108 MMPA. Nandan Denim has been conferred an award by Fortune India.
The award was given after considering various parameters. The company ranks 38 among the Fortune India Next 500 (2016) companies for wealth creation over 3 years (59.64% CAGR). Besides, over 5 years, it ranks 42nd with 45.21% CAGR increase in market capitalization as of April 2016.
Nandan Denim company engaged in textile industry, manufacturing gray cotton fabrics, khakhis and denims claims that its capacity will rise to 110 MMPA, making it India’s and indeed Asia’s largest denim maker.
