The Munich Fabric Start is an international fabric trade fair, which takes place right on time for the start of the season semi-annually in Munich. Munich Fabric Start will be kicking off the Autumn/Winter 2017-18 season when it takes place from 30 August – 1 September 2016 in the MOC event center and the Zenith hall in Munich, Germany.
As the earliest international textile trade show, Munich Fabric Start opens the new season twice yearly with a vast selection of collections ranging from plains to haute couture fabrics and accessories.
Around 950 international suppliers from 37 countries, including many renowned fabric and accessories manufacturers, present some 1,500 collections in Munich. They offer the textile and fashion industry a broad, strong portfolio to source for the new season.
Exhibitors at this event include manufacturers from all sectors of the textile machinery industry, including spinning, nonwovens, weaving, knitting, dyeing and finishing, garment making, testing, software as well as dyestuffs and chemicals.
Continuously raising the bar on inspiration, information and innovation, Munich Fabric Start has positioned itself as the leading trade show for textiles and accessories. Each season the show’s rigorously selected portfolio draws around 20,000 visitors to Munich from across Europe, including buyers and designers for the most influential retailers and fashion brands.
The portfolio ranges from womens, mens and childrens wear to denim, street and sportswear. By now, the exhibition includes eight different areas, which makes the division into two exhibition venues necessary: Collections – fabric collections from basic to haute couture, Additionals – accessories and trimmings for the fashion industry, Bluezone – denim, street and sportswear, Showrooms – full packaging solutions, Asia Salon – Asian suppliers, Design Studios – fashion prints and patterns, Organic Selection – sustainable fabrics and accessories.
This fair is a compressed exhibition by leading exhibitors from around the world. Here colors, patterns, prints, materials and accessories of the coming season will be shown. From ultra-light materials to high-tech coatings and ready-to-wear fabrics and collections an extensive product range of fashionable textiles as well as the complete range of suppliers for ribbons, buttons and labels is presented. The fair is accompanied by an extensive program of lectures, panel discussions as well as fashion shows and presentations.
