Mud Jeans released their sustainability report

Denim brand Mud Jeans has released its 2019 sustainability report in that it maintains its own jeans conserve 92 percent of water, 47 percent of land usage, and 66 percent of CO2 emissions in comparison to industry standards.

The Certified B Corp, the very first firm to provide a subscription model for jeans, was founded in 2013 with the goal of creating a round denim brand that would have a substantially lower effect on the environment and would not exploit workers in its supply chain.

“Every day we are working on with an impact on the fashion industry rather than on earth. That is why our sustainability plan relies on these three pillars: circular economy, reasonable factories, and positive activism,” it said in a statement

Mud Jeans conducted its Life Cycle Assessment, together with sustainable applications company Eco chain, to detect the full effect of its jeans.

It reveals that, compared to industry standards, its own jeans saved a

“What we are most proud of the year – thanks to innovative techniques and using recycled post-consumer denim we are now saving on average 92 percent of water throughout our production compared to industry standards,” the announcement continued.

The company, which states circularity is the center of its business version, says it expects to make a pair of jeans made entirely of post-consumer cotton by the end of the year.

Currently, its jeans comprise 23-40 percent of post-consumer recycled denim. clients can buy or rent their jeans, use them so long as they need, then ship them back for recycling.

On honest factories, it states, “We purposely source our goods nearby factories. We are able to pay a visit to the factory frequently. And we have the identical mindset as the factory owners; transparency — honest wages — good working conditions are on top of our list.”
