MTEX NS to develop NEXTIL digital textile dyeing machine

Many consumers are inclining towards brands that show their commitment towards sustainability. The brands involved in the textile space are expected to deliver green solutions, investment in the development of technologies that allow the implementation of sustainable methods and simultaneously follow the needs of the industrial world.

MTEX NS , has developed NEXTIL digital textile dyeing machine as it provides an innovative key of solutions in-house. NEXTIL has long invested in environmentally friendly solutions, as it tries to combat environmental and sustainability issues. The partnership with MTEX NS, marks an essential step towards the company’s objectives. NEXTIL’s knowledge in the textile industry combined with MTEX NS technological knowledge has resulted in the creation of a dying machine with natural pigments that entirely uses the EtherCAT communication protocol.

This allows it to be integrated in a 4.0 environment. The current NEXTIL modus operandi in this area moves to a new technological level, comprising digitized solutions. The average time taken to make a chemical dye is 7 hours. Nextil makes the dye in just an hour by only using cold water. They reduce energy consumption by 75% and recycle 100% of the water. They approximately utilise one glass of water for each garment without the utilisation of toxic effluents.

Their technology can be used to dye natural fibres such as cotton, linen, silk, wool, hemp and bamboo as well as synthetic fibres such as viscose, lyocell, polyester and polyamide. The company has a wide pallet of pigments such as mineral pigments, vegetable pigments, algae colours and biodyes.

Elói Ferreira, the CEO at MTEX NS, stated that their never-ending pursuit of perfection and dedication to push the boundaries for what develops to itself and their customers do the difference was chosen for this NEXTIL project.

This partnership will only help brands and retailers establish greener methods.
