ANDRITZ X Mistra-Autex
Mistra-Autex AS has placed an order with ANDRITZ for a complete needlepunch line at its Raasiku, Estonia facility. The new line will be used to produce a wide range of nonwovens for applications such as surface materials, 3D molding, and other technical uses, with a primary focus on the automotive industry.
The order covers all equipment from carding to the end-of-line stage and includes the patented ANDRITZ ProWin web optimization system in a closed-loop setup. This advanced system will help ensure consistent fiber distribution, resulting in high-quality end products.
“We trust ANDRITZ to renew our needlepunch equipment and value its expertise throughout this important project,” said Priit Tamm, owner of Mistra-Autex. “As we share a strong culture of innovation, we believe this will mark the start of a successful long-term partnership.”
Mark Raja, R&D Director at Mistra, added: “ANDRITZ’s technology delivers excellent product quality while increasing line speed and lowering operating costs. The ProWin™ system minimizes fiber build-up at web edges and improves the CV ratio. This leads to up to 10% fiber savings, higher output speeds, and a faster return on investment.”
