LF Distribution Holding, Make the Dot boost fashion design efficiency

LF Distribution Holding, a subsidiary of Li & Fung, has adopted Make the Dot, an AI-powered collaborative fashion design platform, to streamline its design processes, reduce turnaround times, and deliver quicker, higher-quality results to its global retail partners.

With the integration of Make the Dot, Li & Fung’s design team is redefining how creative concepts are developed by using AI to boost efficiency, speed, and visual accuracy throughout the entire design process.

“As an AI-native team within LF, we’re embedding AI at every stage of our workflow, not just for presentation, but to work faster, smarter, and more sustainably,” said Mel Limoncelli, SVP of Licensed Brands at LF. “Make the Dot enables us to produce high-quality, brand-consistent designs with fewer samples, less waste, and a clear path to sustainable fashion. It’s now an essential tool for our success.”

Unlike generic AI image tools, Make the Dot is tailor-made for the fashion industry. Its advanced generative AI produces ultra-realistic, production-ready visuals, making the entire process, from design ideation to line sheet development, faster and more efficient.

Since implementing Make the Dot, Li & Fung has significantly improved its workflow. Research time has dropped from a full day to just one hour, line sheet creation has been shortened from seven days to one, and the use of high-quality visuals has boosted buyer interest and engagement.
