Intermix launches Intermix for Good Tour for denim recycling

US-based multi-brand fashion retailer, Intermix announced the commencement of their Intermix for Good Tour, a statewide sustainability initiative that blends denim recycling with community building through giving back.

As part of its objective to create a more sustainable future, Intermix is partnering with Cotton’s Blue Jeans Go Green™ initiative to collect denim made from cotton, which can be recycled to create something new. Customers who bring an old pair of jeans into any Intermix boutique will receive a 20% discount on a new pair of jeans, which will be recycled through Cotton’s Blue Jeans Go Green™ initiative.

In addition, the Intermix for Good Tour will collaborate with three denim labels, Re/Done, Retrofete, and AGOLDE, to clean up beaches and communities around the United States.

Jyothi Rao, Intermix CEO, said that they’re committed to implementing more eco-friendly practices into their business, and they’re happy to be partnering with Cotton Incorporated’s Blue Jeans Go Green™ denim recycling program for their Intermix for Good Tour. They’ve always been known for having the best pair of jeans, and with this effort, they’re extending the lives of pair of jeans and proving that style and sustainability can co-exist. They’ll also be holding beach and city cleanups with their brand partners that are committed to the cause as part of their Intermix for Good Tour, building a community fighting to create a more sustainable future.

Andrea Samber, Director, Brand Partnerships at Cotton Incorporated, said that they’re thrilled to have Intermix join them in recycling denim through their Blue Jeans Go Green™ program this autumn. Intermix evokes a sense of fashion authority while also emphasizing a dedication to sustainability, as evidenced by their use of natural fibers and collaborations that have a good impact on the environment. They’re thrilled to have customers assist them in transforming their old, worn denim into something new as part of the ‘The Intermix for Good Tour’.
