IND HEMP partners to integrate U.S. hemp fiber into Vietnam’s supply chain

IND HEMP, Summit International Trading, and Thien Phuoc Ramie Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to bring U.S.-grown hemp fiber into Vietnam’s textile manufacturing system.

This partnership connects hemp production in the United States with Vietnam’s strong capabilities in spinning, weaving, and garment manufacturing. It aims to create a scalable supply chain for hemp yarns, fabrics, and finished products. The first materials developed through this collaboration are being showcased from April 7–9 at the Functional Fabric Fair in Portland.

In this collaboration, IND HEMP provides hemp fiber grown and processed in Montana, Summit International Trading manages logistics and coordination, and Thien Phuoc handles processing, spinning, and textile production.

Morgan Tweet from IND HEMP stated that Summit International has strong experience in managing textile trade between the U.S. and Vietnam, while Thien Phuoc has built expertise in natural fiber processing. Together, they can successfully integrate hemp into an existing textile supply chain.

This collaboration is part of IND HEMP’s broader plan to expand the global reach of U.S.-grown hemp. After participating in Biofach in Germany earlier this year, the company plans to continue its international efforts. Upcoming events include the INDEX European Nonwovens show in May and Alimentec in Colombia.
