Hyosung And Lenzing launch new sustainable collection

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a shift in consumer behavior. The consumers are now looking for comfortable, versatile and sustainable apparel that can be worn for multiple occasions and last longer.

Banking on this trend, global fiber producers, Lenzing and Hyosung have joined hands to develop a collection called home everything featuring performance fabrics that contain renowned fibers and yarns to ensure customers comfort, sustainable and attractive loungewear and activewear.

Andreas Guertler, the senior manager of Global Business Development Active Sportswear at Lenzing stated that they were delighted to continue their partnership with Hyosung this year to develop more eco-friendly collections that offered combinations of everlasting softness, comfort and performance. He also added that the ongoing pandemic has made the consumers more mindful and is responsible for triggering greater demand for sustainable products that will help safeguard the planet. He assures that at Lenzing they are committed to collaborating with more minded industry partners like Hyosung and will continue to promote greater sustainability through textile innovations.

The Home Everywhere collection features three fabric groups that include a variety of unique blends featuring Lenzing’s cellulose fibers and Hyosung’s range of multi-function spandex, polyester and nylon fibers.

The collection will feature Deep, Rich Color features Hyosung’s creora® Color+ and TENCEL™ branded modal fibers with Eco Color technology to ensure overall saturation color without grin through. It will also ensure a soft hand feels that highlights 100-percent recycled regen aerolite polyester with TENCEL Modal fibers that also ensures the fabric to be sustainable and lightweight. The functional collection includes Hyosung’s Mipan aqua-X nylon with TENCEL Lyocell fibers giving cool-touch, UV protection and moisture management.

Simon Whitmarsh-Knight, the EMEA marketing director, at Hyosung stated that Lenzing has been their ideal partner in developing innovative and sustainable fabric collection that ensures long-lasting comfort, performance and appeal to a versatile market. He believes that collaboration is the way forward as the textile industry seeks creative and performance solutions throughout the value chain to meet the dynamic market.

The collection will soon make its debut in the market online.
