UK-based peer-to-peer fashion rental service, HURR, announced that it will open a pop-up store on Saturday, 27 November 2021 where clients can rent dresses for one night only in the run-up to Christmas Eve.
For the first time, HURR will provide one-day rentals, allowing customers to pick up an item and return it the next day, any day of the week. During the store’s debut, the company will continue to work with its dry-cleaning partner, Oxwash, and will also have a washing machine on site.
The store, which the label describes as “the ultimate rental fashion utopia,” will feature a variety of events, workshops, and lessons, including an upcycling workshop, a yoga class, and an espresso martini-making class, which can be booked via Eventbrite.
The concept will also include a selected range of sustainable presents from Stories Behind Things, an on-site repairs station by Sojo, and pre-booked make-up appointments, making it a “one-stop Christmas party store,” according to Hurr in a statement.
Jemma Finch, chief executive of Stories Behind Things, said that they’re pleased to announce that Stories Behind Things is teaming with Hurr to create the best concept store for the festive time. This holiday season, the store will be the go-to one-stop shop for sustainable gifting and renting. There will be a multitude of workshops, events, live panels, sustainable sessions, and more to get involved in during their residency, all under one roof, to pull eco-minded Londoners in from throughout the city. They’ve got it all, from sustainability panels to conscientious giving and zero-waste cocktail crafting!
