H&M launches a sustainable collection for men

The new face of the H&M collection is a football player, Héctor Bellerín. The collection aims to combine ‘sustainability and style’ and it includes 90’s inspired silhouettes like oversized shirting, graphic sweatshirts and utilitarian parkas.

Bellerín showed keen interest in every stage of the design process. London-based, Arsenal player, Héctor Bellerín is very famous for his personality and style among his fans and he also made an appearance for Louis Vuitton last year. Bellerín talked about his quarantine period where he spent a lot of time going for a walk, getting inspired by plant patterns and the earthy tones of nature. He wanted the collection to be comfortable and light in feel. He seems to be a sustainability enthusiast and prefers going to charity shops and second-hand shops to buy his clothing. He also expressed his desire to pursue a sustainable design course.

Ross Lydon, Head of Menswear Design at H&M, says Bellerín is a leader of the generation and his redefining style and positive attitude towards fashion would lead to a change in the mindset. H&M is thrilled to collaborate and create “Edition by Héctor Bellerín”. The collection will go live in-store and online on February 18.
