Haelixa, TextileGenesis to strengthen fiber traceability

The textile industry is increasingly facing issues such as fibre adulteration, blending, and false claims, especially with high-value materials like organic cotton, recycled fibres, and cashmere. To address this, Haelixa and TextileGenesis have introduced a new multi-layered traceability system that combines Haelixa’s forensic DNA markers, embedded directly into the fibres, with TextileGenesis’ blockchain-inspired digital chain of custody.

Gediminas Mikutis, Founder and CTO of Haelixa, highlighted the significance of verified traceability. He explained that applying natural DNA markers at the fibre level “provides forensic proof of origin,” and when integrated with TextileGenesis’ digital platform, it gives brands “unmatched visibility and confidence” in their material authenticity.

Amit Gautam, Founder and CEO of TextileGenesis, noted that this partnership showcases how physical and digital traceability can work together, enabling brands to merge transactional, certified, and forensic data into one reliable system.

This collaboration comes as global sustainability regulations increasingly call for evidence-based claims. The joint solution aims to help brands strengthen their supply chain transparency, lower compliance risks, and build consumer trust with scientific proof of material origin.
