GTT’s EMPEL assists ARTILECT in achieving award-winning status

Green Theme Technologies Inc. (GTT), a leader in water-free and PFOA/PFOS-free water-repellent textile finishing, is pleased to announce that their dry textile finishing EMPEL® platform has assisted partner brand ARTILECT in achieving award-winning status.

The Slide x OTS 2022 Winter Trade Show Award for Best Softshell went to ARTILECT’s new for FW22 Silverton Shell, and the Outside Business Journal named the Formation 3L Shell one of the Top 50 trendiest new items for Fall/Winter 2022.

Martin Flora, VP of Business Development with GTT, said that Artilect recognizes that today’s consumers seek both great performance and sustainability. Their jackets blend great aesthetic functional design with superb EMPEL rain protection to produce exceptional goods. The problem with much PFAS-free water repellent finishes on the market is that they don’t hold up in the rain. Their EMPEL platform is one-of-a-kind: it surpasses all other water-repellent technologies, lasts longer, and eliminates harmful PFAS from textile finishing.

EMPEL is the world’s highest-performing water repellent DWR, anti-wicking, and stain release treatment, and ARTILECT is putting it on some of their newest items.

ARTILECT founder and co-CEO, Trent Bush, said that they’re launching a variety of breakthrough, world-first technologies from many of the biggest and most innovative vendors in the FW22 ARTILECT Systems collection, They’re also very delighted to be one of the first performance gear brands to be certified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
