GTTES 2015, the leading textile engineering expo’ set to open on 20 January

India’s ‘leading textile engineering expo — Global Textile Technology & Engineering Show- 2015 (GTTES-2015), is all set to open on 20-22 January 2015 at the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre, Goregaon East , Mumbai. The 3-day mega event is supported by Ministry of Heavy Industry, Government of India and Textile Department, Govt. of Maharashtra. More than 282 Indian and foreign exhibitors will be exhibiting their products on 11,500 sq. metres of area. The show is organized by India ITME Society.

A very strong participation from China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, USA, Germany, and UK apart from India will display their modern technology, price competitiveness, customize services, expanded network and new market access.

Sanjiv Lathia, Chairman, India ITME Society, at a press conference today informed that India ITME Society started exhibitions 34 years ago with an objective to bring in the most modern technology to India and thus become a catalyst to growth of textile engineering industry. The need of the times and demand from the industry once again gave birth to another exclusive event GTTES – 2015.

Having successfully accomplished the task, a new challenge was taken up by the industry body this year to access new markets, to widen network, to explore new opportune ties for Textile &, Engineering Industry.

This event expects high level government delegation and industrial delegation from India & overseas to visit the exhibition creating wide spread excitement and anticipation amongst exhibitors and industry members. Various interactive sessions and meetings between the officials, industry members and associations are part of this event and are expected to create ample opportunities throughout the year.

Lathia also informed that officials from Ministry of Textile Srilanka, officials from Ministry of Textile Ethiopia are expected to interact with exhibitor and meet their counterparts in Mumbai. During the expo, a special presentation on “doing business with Ethiopia“ with a focus on textile industry will be held to create new opportunity and developing bilateral trade between India and Ethiopia in textile and textile engineering segments.

Visit also includes Educational Institutions to set in motion a chain of action to promote bilateral relations for trade, education etc. Lathia said. This implies that apart from supporting business, GTTES will take effort towards education and knowledge dissemination in India.

Seema Srivastava, Executive Director, India ITME Society informed that promotion of jute, digital printing and waste water technology are the key features of GTTES including others.

Lathia expects that textile industry is poised to grow at 10 per cent, much faster than the country’s GDP will boost demand for machinery and machinery manufacturers.
