GCS Fibers launches Indiegogo fundraising campaign to support its expansion

GCS Fibers, an environmentally friendly company whose patented process repurposes coal ash to make high-quality non-toxic mineral fiber, is delighted to announce the launch of an Indiegogo funding campaign to support its expansion in the United States and beyond.

Ato Andoh, GCS’ CEO, said that their aim is to repair and protect our environment by converting toxic coal ash into valuable mineral fiber products while creating meaningful jobs throughout their areas of operations. GCS is pleased to share their enthusiasm for environmental protection with investors interested in joining them as they create a cleaner tomorrow and as many as 500 high-paying jobs at each of their sites.

GCS is seeking $3.5 million in order to expand operations and establish up to 100 locations in the United States and throughout the world. GCS will be able to start operations within three months of receiving funds and produce $5 million in monthly revenues if the campaign is successful.

Each facility can handle up to one million tonnes of coal ash per year while using emissions capture technology to decrease greenhouse gas emissions and assure the least amount of environmental effect feasible. In terms of weight, the manufacturers transform coal ash into six base fibers at a nearly 1:1 ratio of coal ash to mineral fiber.

This represents a significant breakthrough in the utilities industry’s capacity to safely handle and dispose of large amounts of coal ash without releasing hazardous waste. GCS allows utilities to save money on coal ash management and pass the savings on to their customers. They can also recover land areas that were formerly utilized for coal ash landfills/ponds.
