Garmon Chemicals leads sustainable innovation with its new course, unveiled at the Kingpins Show Amsterdam

Strengthened with the acquisition by Kemin Industries, Garmon sets a whole new scenario for chemicals in fashion, with a new Marketing Director and the cutting-edge Stretch Care green collection.Garmon Chemicals restarts from the future, directly from the stage of the Kingpins Show in Amsterdam (April, 18-19). In January the company was acquired by Kemin Industries, a global ingredient manufacturer committed to improving the quality, safety and efficacy of feed, food and health-related products.

Kemin touches more than 3.8 billion lives every day with its products and services. It’s a whole new path the one that Garmon is building with Kemin’s support on three main pillars: sustainability, constant innovation and a stronger relationship with its customers. Both companies share ambitious goals supported by an effective strategy aimed to increase Garmon’s brand R&D scope, commercial penetration and product offer.

Once again, Garmon defines the benchmark in textiles auxiliaries business. The first step of this empowering path was set by the appointment of a new Marketing and Business Development Director: Donald Mulazzani. With a strong fashion and sportswear background, Mr. Mulazzani, who joined the company in February 2018, points out Garmon’s new vision supported by Kemin unique expertise: “We are strategically planning to grow our business. In order to achieve our objectives, we will be completely in tune with our customer’s needs, to become the real link that joins chemistry, fashion and sportswear” claims the Marketing and Business Development Director.

The main goals are strengthening the relationship with the brand customers while activating new business areas and focusing on continuous sustainable improvements.

In this direction Kemin will support the Italian company with all its product innovation experience, enhancing a strong marketing oriented approach, while using its production and logistics platforms. As a link ensuring continuity in this process, Garmon Chemicals’ President Maurizio Cappellini will continue to lead the team.

This transition is expected to be a real re-boot of the core business that remains focused on chemical auxiliaries for denim, fashion and sportswear industry above all. The Italian company has been creating special relationships with top denim and sportswear brands, affirming itself as a key player able to offer a fashion-forward approach towards textile chemistry. Reputation and credibility now representing the keys to embrace new challenges to closely meet customers’ needs. Moreover, by leveraging Kemin’s international manufacturing facilities, the aim is to become a truly “glocal” company. This will make the business more efficient and more eco-friendly, by reducing its carbon footprint and saving energy.

Sustainability first -Sharing the same strong ethical values, Garmon and Kemin firmly believe in sustainable chemistry able to reduce the environmental impact on people’s lives. With a wide range of certified products, the Italian company has truly been a pioneer in the evolution of the sector towards a more responsible vision.

Garmon was in 2015 the first chemical manufacturer to launch a line of auxiliaries ever assessed through the GreenScreen® for Safer Chemicals, the globally recognized tool that identifies hazardous chemicals and safer alternatives. Currently more than 50% of products lines are ecosustainable, and expecting to grow even more, thanks to Kemin’s important support and innovative approach. In a constant knowledge-sharing process, the objective is to offer within 2021 only GreenScreen® certified products.

Creative and fashion-forward R&D in Garmon Chemicals
At the center of Garmon’s constant product innovation there is The Italian Job, the company’s Research & Design studio, which focuses on exploring possibilities for chemistry to meet fashion, exposing with a dedicated booth in the Kingpins Transformers Area.

The new Stretch Care collection: more value for stretch fabrics
On contemporary markets scenarios constantly change, while flexibility and ability to adapt are central elements. Garmon has therefore decided to enter its new course with an innovative collection, specifically conceived to enhance the quality and performance of stretch fabrics.

Consisting of all eco-sustainable and GreenScreen® certified products, Stretch Care is a real greenpackage, offering avant-garde solutions. A set of truly responsible tools to give the garment a unique personality.

In this way the line offers many alternatives and an incredibly flexible product range. Thanks to their special formulation, the Stretch Care collection develops a full range of product treatments with extraordinary characteristics: 1) Minimize the loss of elasticity, for superior shape retention and recovery performance.2)Protect fabrics and accessories from damages, greatly improving garments quality.3)Provide the garment with special personality and extraordinary contrasts 4)Make the garment feel incredibly softer to the touch 5)Are ecosustainable and significantly optimize the production process.
