Fulgar achieves significant development in production of melange yarns for use in fashion

Fulgar operates worldwide in the synthetic yarns market and is a leader in the production and distribution of Polyamide 6.6 and covered spandex in the textile and technical sectors. According to Fulgar, it has achieved a significant development in the production of melange yarns for use in fashion and sportswear enabling the production of a fabric with a visual effect similar to that of printed fabric but with the performance offered by high-quality yarns.

Fulgar, specialises in nylon and coated yarns, says that Space 3.0, represents the highest level of excellence in melange yarn made possible by the company’s ‘All-in-One’ technology.

Space 3.0 guarantees colour strength and gives the fabric levels of comfort and wearability never achieved before. These are essential properties for all target sectors.”

Effectively, this means that the yarn consists of three threads woven together, rather than two, using a unique controlled and continuous one-step process.

Fulgar’s new technology enables the production of a uniform melange yarn with three threads on a black or white base. And by using vivacious or bright colours, this allows customers to choose between Infinite colour combinations, enhanced during the dyeing stage.

The yarn is being targeted at a variety of sectors, such as sportswear and fashion and according to Fulgar, is suitable for circular knitwear, hosiery and seamless clothing.

The new yarn is available in two versions. Space 3.0 Standard is characterised by a short and regular melange section in black and white variants while Space 3.0 Pulsar is a combination of Space and Pulsar technologies which gives rise to a longer slub melange section.

Fulgar is recognised as one of the main contenders in the textile sector, with the ability to spread its products and have them appreciated in Europe in the various fields of application.

Quality, service, innovation, social responsibility: the success of Fulgar Spa is based on these four principles.
